Donation to Claire House in memory of Joe Dawson

Charityprintshop was proud to be involved in a donation to Claire House Children's Hospice in Bebington this week, in memory of a lovely brave little boy, Joe Dawson. whose 5th birthday it would have been on that day, 22nd February.

The donation was handed over to Lynn Taylor, who has recently joined the fundraising team at Claire House, because the children's hospice helped the family so much when they unexpectedly lost Joe last year.  Joe's godmother, Claire, was an employee at Birkenhead bailiff's company Jacobs when they ordered their annual promotional gifts from Charityprintshop and she had no hesitation in nominating Claire House to receive the resultant donation as a thank you on behalf of the family.

Tragically, Joe's parents had not previously taken advantage of the facilities and support offered by Claire House as they expected it to be a sad place, but found it to be the contrary and said they wished they had brought him sooner as 'he would have loved it'.

Parkin S Booth, of Liverpool was another of our customers who nominated Claire House to receive their donations as a result of several stationery orders from Charityprintshop during 2010.
