Multiple Sclerosis Support Centre
We are here to use our collective experience to support people with MS and their families and to provide professional therapies, support and advice to help in managing the symptoms of MS. We are a self- help organisation and many members are also involved in the Centre’s management.
- We are often a second 'port of call' for people newly diagnosed with MS and our services complement and support the work of Neurologists and GPs.
- We are a registered charity [since 1985] and a member of the MS National Therapy Centres
- We are not directly linked to the MS Society, but do liase with their branches in our area.
- We aim to serve people in Cheshire, North Wales, Wirral and Merseyside.
- We are regulated by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales under the terms of the Care Standards Act.
It currently costs over £200,000 a year to run the MS Support Centre - more than £4,000 a week. For that £4,000 we're able to deliver a broad and diverse range of therapies and support services to people with MS and their Carers, and that £4,000 means we can make a real difference to the lives of the people that we support ensuring that symptoms are managed in ways that reduce demand on the services of the NHS.

The MS Support Centre receives no automatic statutory funding, which means that to continue with our work we must raise funds from many different sources.
